Dear God/ess, Sometimes we get a glimpse into a person's odyssey from a point of suffering, to release into a state of joy and freedom.

This is my experience as I read  Mary's book, "New World Greetings: Inspirational Poetry And Musings For A New World." I feel a sense of freedom myself as I read her words.

Mary told us on our show, "MoonMooYou: The Collective Wisdom" and again in her book, that when she was first diagnosed with Polio at age five, she was visited by a healing presence whom has been with her ever since, through all of her stages of awakening, up to this moment in time.

"Awakening into the Oneness of Love," as Leonard Laskow  calls it.

Staying awake is also a lesson of this dimension. No more being lulled into the path of least resistence, which is a dying into mediocrity.

No more listening to authority over our own sense of inner wisdom. No more allowing forces beyond ourselves that ring hollow of truth take over our lives.

Moments of triumph are ours when we see the meaning in every moment.

Having answers to to all of life's questions is not important. We can ask and allow the questions to stretch into the eternal search some of us are on, injoying the journey and the process.

Mary has a ritual to starting her day, which I love to hear about. She takes it easy. I can see her stretching slowing, writing a poem or two, drinking water or tea, and contemplating her day and her life. Alex leaps upon her knee during these musings.

Alex is the rescue cat who in his deep gratitude for being saved in New Orleans during Katrina, knows that his mission in life is to keep his rescuers on the path of liberation.

Thanks for that, Alex!

Om, Peace, Amen

Through tears of joy and love I am laughing. As I am preparing to go on a run, I decided to open the daily prayer to fuel me. When I saw my photo I thought what happened? Did I click on a wrong link? Thank you God/Goddess for this beautiful prayer which fills my heart with overflowing love and gratitude and thank you dear Kate for allowing the words to flow through you. This is the greatest gift I could ever receive and helps to fuel me on my path. The timing is as always exquisite beyond what words can say. Alex says good morning to you and thank you for expressing his mission with such eloquence. Yesterday we experienced torrential downpours and today the sun is streaming through the windows - the shadows reflect the dancing of the trees outside the window. Thank you for the dance of life, the dance of love and bringing sunshine after the rain.

Mary, it is quite clear that you and your cat are both fiercely strong survivors.

Kate: "No more listening to authority over our own sense of inner wisdom. No more allowing forces beyond ourselves that ring hollow of truth take over our lives."

So refreshing and real. We -- each of us, individually, ourselves -- are the ultimate authorities in our own lives. To believe otherwise is to refuse to recognize our significant power. This power can be scary at times (I know it is for me), but there is simply no sense in denying it; no justification, rational or otherwise, for turning away from the truth in ourselves.
